Description
The perfect fall beverage, hands down. The spiced cider can easily be scaled if you’d like to have more of it around for kids and non-drinkers.
Ingredients
For the spiced cider:
- 1 1/4 cups apple cider
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 cloves
- 3 slices ginger (about the size of a quarter)
- 4 cardamom pods
For the sangria:
- spiced apple cider
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 pint hard apple cider
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 pear, thinly sliced
- 1 small bunch frozen green grapes
- ice
Instructions
To make the spiced cider:
- Combine the apple cider and spices in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- Turn the heat to low and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes and then allow to cool before straining and chilling in the fridge.
To make the sangria:
- Combine the spiced cider, bourbon, lemon juice, hard apple cider and sliced apples and pears.
- Pour into ice filled glasses and garnish with frozen grapes
