The perfect fall beverage, hands down. The spiced cider can easily be scaled if you’d like to have more of it around for kids and non-drinkers.

For the spiced cider:

  • 1 1/4 cups apple cider
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves
  • 3 slices ginger (about the size of a quarter)
  • 4 cardamom pods

For the sangria:

  • spiced apple cider
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 pint hard apple cider
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 small bunch frozen green grapes
  • ice

To make the spiced cider:

  1. Combine the apple cider and spices in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Turn the heat to low and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes and then allow to cool before straining and chilling in the fridge.

To make the sangria:

  1. Combine the spiced cider, bourbon, lemon juice, hard apple cider and sliced apples and pears.
  2. Pour into ice filled glasses and garnish with frozen grapes
